A Time To Fly

on Saturday, February 28, 2009

February 27, it’s my schedule to fly back to Thailand. So, February 26, I was in hurry to travel to CDO even my mother just discharged from the hospital. I just sent her home and I left quickly after I prayed. Honestly, I don’t want to leave my home because of my mother’s situation but due to all my obligations so I’ve been obligated to go back to Thailand. And leaving my mother and the members of my family in the Mighty Hands of my Unfailing, Generous and ever Faithful FATHER in Heaven.

CDO airport:

It was my first time to experience a super delayed flight. I supposed to fly at 2:15 in the afternoon but an hour before the boarding time. I heard an announcement that my flight has been delayed, instead of flying at 2:15; would be flying at 3 pm.

Around 3:15 pm, the plane from Manila arrived and the same plane that I supposed to be flying with, after all the passengers had been embarked. My flight numbers had been called for boarding, so I was happily boarding the plane. After all the passengers had been settled, the flight attendant announced that we’re ready to take off. Then after a couple of minutes , I heard another announcement from the flight attendant, informing us that plane that we’re boarding there’s a technical problem, so they needed to contact Manila first, and we should have to wait for a further notice. Then, after a couple of minutes, I heard another announcement, “Attention to all passengers, please. Right now, we would like you all to embark and bring all your belongings and please wait for another notice….and we all embarked and went back to the departure area. I couldn’t believe that there were many people waiting for their flights and no more benches available for us. Whew….It’s 3:45 pm, and my international flight was 9 in the evening on the same date and I also needed to be at the NAIA 3 two hours before my flight.

4:30 pm, there was no plane arrived yet from manila. I tried to be relaxed as if I never worried about my international flight. Then, a couple of minutes, an airplane from Manila arrived. I tried to talk to the person in-charged at the office, if I could fly with the last flight because the flight that I supposed to fly has been cancelled. At the office, they asked a proof whether I would truly catch my international flight on February 27 at 9 pm. So, I gave my international ticket and they immediately honored my request. What a relieved! Thank God!

Good enough that I went to the cebupacific office in CDO early in the morning, a few hours before I went to the airport, and got printed my tickets. If I wasn’t printed my tickets, sure enough, I would had been in big trouble because they immediately asked my international ticket…Thank God for Giving HIS Wisdom. And I thank God for a friend who advised me to go to the cebu pacific office.

Well, I arrived at NAIA 3, an hour and 20 minutes before my flight, I hurried up to go to the POEA counter to pay my membership. After POEA, I went straight to the check in area, and I made to aboard on the plane on time.

Before I left home; I was thinking to have my dinner in Jollibee at the airport but no time to buy so I flew with no dinner. The reasons that I didn’t have dinner while flying because I slept while the flight attendant selling their food. When arrived at Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport, I was very hungry. So, I went to a small store to buy bread and coffee and waited my next flight for the following day.
By God's grace, I finally, arrived home safe and sound. I thank God for HIS traveling mercy. I also thank God that the pilot discovered immediately that the first plane that I supposed to be flying with was not in a good condition. I thank God that, they're able to land first before it happened. Thank God for HIS protection to all the passengers on that plane.

An Urgent Call

on Tuesday, February 3, 2009

There’s an urgent call for me to go back home because my father has been looking and calling my name for a couple of days now. And he has never been eating for a couple of days as well. When I heard about my father’s situation, I finally surrendered him into the Hands of my ETERNAL FATHER, since then, I had this an unspeakable peace in my heart. I spoke to my father and told them to surrender everything into HIS will.

But, I have a couple of things needed:

A replacement:

Yesterday, morning I spoke to our school manager and told her about the situation of my father. She understood everything but one thing that she asked me to do is to find a replacement because I’ll be gone for about three weeks or more. So, I started phoning all my colleagues and most of them have been working, seemed no one could substitute me. Then I spoke to my manager again but still she asked me to at least find for a replacement. So, I phoned my friend from malaysia if he could find someone to replace me. He said, he’ll try but not that quick. While, I was sitting in our office, I thought of my other colleague m-m, so I phoned her and I told her if she could substitute me for a couple of weeks. She didn’t decide it immediately because she has some commitments also. But, before she put the phone down, she gave me some assurances that she might be able to substitute, the only thing was she needed to ask permission from her superior. After thirty minutes, I phoned her again, hold and lo, she told me that she would be able to substitute me…Big TIME wow! So, I immediately went to the office and told to the school director that I found a replacement. Then they allowed me to go home, and I signed up a paper that I’ll be back in 20 days. By faith, I just signed it up though I don’t really know how long I am going to stay there.

My ticket:

About my ticket, I spoke to my ever supportive friend Peter, Janet’s husband. And he told me that he was willing to purchase my tickets. (God blesses their hearts). But I needed to book my tickets online, so I tried to communicate my closest friend Love in my homeland for the very important transactions. After talking to my closest friend back home, I felt great relieved because there’s a great assurance already that I’ll be home.

Seemed, there had been so much of destructions on the net while my other friend Jan was booking my ticket. So, I never stopped praying while Janet was doing the booking. Lo and behold, after the great effort of J, she finally booked my ticket. Another BIG TIME Wow! I know, how busy she is, but still she never stopped booking my ticket. To you, P and J words are not enough to express my heartfelt thanks for both of you. For JLTL too, thank you all ever so much. Truly, you are all my family!
By God's help, I’ll be leaving for the Philippines tomorrow. And I’ll home and seeing my father and my family on the 5th of February. And I truly thank God for using HIS children to provide my needs, to comfort me and my family.
