Training

on Sunday, July 20, 2008

I just got back from the four-day training on Thai language, culture and professional code of ethics that was held at the other province. Generally, the training was great and very helpful for us (Foreign Teachers). For me, personally I discovered new things on Thai culture even though I’ve been here for a few years already. I was very glad that I was able to attend the training.

I stayed at the hotel where our training was held, and I was very glad that I booked my room a week before the training. Many participants were not able to stay at the hotel coz they never booked the rooms prior to the training. Well, the hotel was nice and quiet.

So, after the whole day of long sessions, I chose to stay in my hotel room. I enjoyed watching English Movies, doing spa, etc. The price of the hotel room was quite reasonable with buffet breakfast and the lunch was included from our registration fee. And all the food that they’re serving was so delicious. I’m pretty sure that I gained again because I can’t control my appitite so I ate too much.
I thank God that I have now the important certificate that I truly needed for the renewal of my visa as well as my work permit. Hallelujah! Thank God for HIS provisions!

Lunch time....

Pose first before the first session begins...smile...smile...with a friend...I was surprised when I saw her on the first day! What a beaufiful reunion!

Visiting a Friend

on Sunday, July 6, 2008

Yesterday, I visited my co teacher at the hospital who gave birth last Friday. I kept on thinking what I was going to bring for her. Well, buying gift for a baby it is not hard coz can buy it at the stores. On Friday night I was thinking to buy bouquet of roses, so early morning Saturday I went to the market and tried to order bouquet of roses unfortunately the small flower shop they would never made bouquets they only sell flowers. What I did, I bought 12 roses and I arranged them by myself. Well, it took me quite sometimes until I arranged them well, not really pretty but glad that done it and when I looked it, it was quite presentable.

When I arrived at the hospital a cute baby was sleeping and the mother was quite sleepy too so we just chitchat for a while then I left at the hospital coz I wanted them to get enough sleep.
I am glad that my co teacher like the roses that I brought for her.
